Scabs on ducks feet

Hi guys! I'm new to this whole forum thing but I have two ducks and recently I showed them at a fair. They had to remain in a cage with sand as bedding for four days and during that time I noticed their feet got little red spots on them. Normally for bedding I give them wood shavings and they don't have a problem, but I think the sand did something to their feet. I researched and it is not Bumblefoot. I noticed now that they are now black so does that mean it is healing?? I don't know too much about ducks as this is my first time and I have only had them since September of last year. Could someone get back to me? I wanna make sure they are okay!

Picture? If not bunblefoot, it could still be something similar. Bumblefoot is often noted to be a staf infection. It wouldn't surprise me if that's what you are dealing with here as well.
