Scales on comb?

Hello all,

I have a brown Easter egger that seems to be healthy, no mites or anything like that. She has a bright red comb (small one) but in between the creases there is white build up of some sort. It does not simply brush off with my fingers. The best I can describe is it is some sort of scale. Otherwise she seems well and normal.

Does this need to be addressed?
