Scared and freaking out--- what on Earth?

HELP!! I was outisde with my chickens and I look down at one of my hens (I think she is a Rhode Island Red) Anyways she is walking very slow, she also just stood there and kept falling asleep.. she is eating but not much at all, she is again, walking VERY slow!! This isn't like her she is usually running around scratching!! She isn't scratching or anything! I also want to mention her comb and face are normal they are the usual color!! Anyone know what this is??

Do you think you are seeing the results of the poison? I have never been in this situation so I really don't know what to do. I think with dogs you are supposed to make them throw up if they ingest poison, but again, I'm not sure. Do you have a vet you could take her to/call?

I am so sorry for you. This sounds horrible. Could it possibly be moldy hay? A toxic bloom on the hay? Has it been wet?
Just a thought. Is there adequate ventilation in the room?

If it was rodent poison you would have likely seen some blood on the duck, eyes mouth, vent. It is an anti coagulant IE kills by causing them to bleed out internally .
The stuff in the cup looks kind of like Miracle Grow fertilizer , not something good for horses lol
Hay is not a good bedding for birds or anything else, gets wet molds and who knows what is in it. Straw is good . You keep saying stable are you talking about horse stalls in a barn? Stalls can be Ok as long as they are not getting wet , something ducks do is get everything wet ! Stalls can have lime in them, different forms of bedding may have been used or who knows what kind of meds , ointments etc may have been used in a stall. If you can keep it dry not much of a concern but getting it wet and who knows what may bubble up .

Rodent poison is the best way to control rats and mice , use bait stations and unless you have Pack rats the poison wont be hauled off .

Hey there guys!

WOW... Sorry about not popping back in. It's just been a crazy week erecting chicken coops in and out of rainy weather... Online has been really hard. I was supposed to take photos of that blue stuff but to be honest I've been avoiding that building like the plague right now. Trying to get this coop in the right spot of our backyard so we can keep a close eye on everyone.

My flock is fine. They don't seem to have been affected by whatever blue/green stuff they got into. We still cannot find the source... We have to focus on the new, safer coop first.

Good news is everyone is fine, happy, and growing. My chickens are living in our downstairs kitchen while we finish the new coop and our ducks are happy in the horse stables...

I'm going to guess they somehow managed to lick blue stuff off the walls and then when they pooped it out it turned green like rat poison.we stoll can't explain how it happened... It doesn't make sense. What matters is nothing else is going into that tack room (just tools) and that no casualties happened!

Thanks for the support. I really was panicking and I didn't know what to do... I'm a little embarrassed for posting so.... Messily. I didn't want my babies to die and I needed support. I came home to three new little chicks this morning though... Men are trying to convince me that I'm a good mom and it's all okay. Happy ducks and new chicks below!
