Scared of the water?

For the last 2 days my ducks haven't been going near their kiddie pool. I refilled it with clean water yesterday morning and it is still sparkling clean today. There is no ice in it and it has fresh peas floating aorund but they are not going near it. Normally they are splashing around before it has finished filling up so I don't understand? They are not even going up to it to take a drink. Any ideas why?

Nope. I have changed nothing at all.

Perhaps you should? Maybe it'll shake things up a bit. If something scared them by the pool, or that had any kind of scare near there, moving it might make a difference.

Is the pool out in the open where another animal could've gotten into it? Once a hawk landed and perched along our deck pond and my ducks wouldn't go near the the thing for days after I chased it off.
