1961. That's wonderful to have 100% hatches. Oh yea! I went to look at the e-bay link. I think it was going for $99 so far. I didn't look to see how much longer was left on the bid. When is your hatch date?

Wegotchickens & I are trying to get organized to hatch at the same time so we can hold each others hands. She's waiting to receive her incubator and I'm waiting to see what my sis sends or take a chance on this old Brower. I'm just thrilled I didn't blow up when I plugged it in.

Your Brower looks so much newer than mine. How old is it? How does your turner connect on the bottom pan? Did it come w/ a hole already in the bottom pan? I don't think I can do that w/ my model unless drill a hole in the bottom.

the turnner was already there when I bought it off of ebay. It looks like a hole has been drilled in it and the turnner kit added later. There is a shaft that comes up through the hole and attatches to the turnner rack. mine is so old that the writing is off of the lable. the lady that I bought it from said that it is I think now a 1976 I am not sure.

We had our on ebay trying to sell it a little while back but DH decided to keep it.

I'm not a nail-biter, but I'm ready to start as I wait on my bator to arrive. I've been saving some of my mutt eggs to test it on before I get the 'pedigreed' eggs from Speckled & Dipsy next month...

I think I'll call the boy mutts 'Silkeasters' and the girl mutts 'silkeggers'. And then I'll pray for silkeggers!

Smitty, I think you should update & use the old Brower and see how it does. Do a small clutch, maybe 6 eggs or so. Try candling and such and see if the temps will hold true. That's what I'm planning, if mine will just GET here!

If mine's here tomorrow, then I plan to heat it up for the weekend and throw the mutts in there Sunday. Didn't you say you had a neighbor with fertile eggs you could try?

I just got off the phone w/ the Brower co. They just discontinued this one about 10 yrs ago. They couldn't tell me how old it is. I ordered a new themometer & wafer. I still can't believe this old one works. Unfortunately they no longer have the egg turner available to purchase, so I guess I will have to hand turn if I use the Brower.

I have no idea what kind & when I'll receive the one from my sis.

I will call my friend to collect the eggs today - Sun and put them in there, if you have yours ready to fire up. I don't think I have any of my own eggs fert, b/c I've seperated Napoleon from the girls so much lately. He's been back in w/ them for a few days b/c it's been so cold.

Ok, my fingers are crossed that yours comes in soon. Keep me posted!
