Since I couldn't find an official Schijndelaar thread I thought I would start one!

I'll start with my two chicks hatched 02-12-21 here.
I'm hoping the one on the left is a roo and the one on the right is a hen.
A completely unofficial guess at the moment though.

I wish there were more talk about Schijndelaar chickens. How they've fared, what their laying is like, personalities etc... i have one little pullet that i adore. I want to learn more about them though!

This is Ruby one of 2 Schijndelaar pullets I have. Love the breed! I can hardly wait for them to start laying some beautiful blue eggs!

My Schijndelaar cockerel (Tiny Tim) with the rest of our flock, including Mr Knightly, our Light Sussex rooster. They get along wonderfully.
12 girls between the 2 of them. 2 are Schijndelaar females. Their names are Garĺic and Onion.

I wonder why their eggs look so faded? They should be an established breed so their blue egg color should be more intense

I think they can range from green to blue. Also, sometimes the camera and screens don't translate color accurately from camera to picture to other people's screens.
