Helga was curious to know what it was. "I promise." She said.
"Okay. Good. It's a pygmy dragon egg, pure bred." She whispered to her, pulling it out from under Fuzz to show her.
"How small is it fully grown?" Helga asked quietly, looking at it. "You'd have to keep it hidden. I doubt dragons are allowed."
"They get about the size of a raccoon or large cat. I know dragons aren't allowed but I couldn't resist when someone offered me the egg. Fuzz will incubate it, it'll hatch in a couple days. Fuzz will raise it with her chicks." She said.
"But won't it eat her babies?" Helga asked. "Plus, it needs space to fly. We'd have to take trips to the forbidden forest or something."
"No, their diet is insects. Yea, we are gonna have to take it places for it to fly... Luckily I read in a book that if you give them water they can't breath fire for a couple hours, so we can do that in order to keep it in here. I already have a jar of dried locusts and crickets that I normally use for potions, but I can feed it to the dragon." She said quietly.
"I just remembered something!" Helga said and dug threw her trunk. She pulled out some silver fabric. "This is an invisibility cloak. My mother left it for me when I was put in an orphanage. Look." Helga put it on and you could only see her head. "If we had to sneak into the woods, we just use this!"
"You have a invisibility cloak? Perfect!" She said, petting Fuzz as the crow sat on the egg.
(This is what the dragon will look like.)
(Cool.) Helga smiled happily. "Should we go to the library tomorrow and read a little more about dragons, just in case there's something else we should know?" She asked.
"Yeah. Well, it's late, should we go to bed?"
