She may be sick but I think she's too cold. You need to get her under some constant heat. She is still tiny and needs it to be at 95 degrees F. A chick that is too cold wont move around to eat and drink. She's likely lethargic from not eating well. Do you have any electrolytes? If not, I'd give the sugar water and try to get her eating some egg yolk or chick crumbles with some of the sugar water mixed in.
I can get some in the morning. All the stores around here close on Sundays. Is there something I can give her tonight that will help her get through? I've warmed her up a bit which seems to be helping. She's not standing on her legs, though. She's sitting on her backside with her wings open.
We are talking emergency measures here. That little one doesn't look good.
Aw, shoot.I feel bad not noticing earlier. I just poked some sugar water down her. I also moved her to a large incubator where I can keep her away from others and keep an eye on her. It's not a great area for her to be, but if we're going ER type situation than I'm going to assume that a 'hospital cage' like I use for my cockatiel is a good idea.
She gobbled the water. I have an old syringe I haven't used for my cats. She gobbled two of them. They're the size you use for insulin shots. I do have pedialyte on hand I used to feed my field mouse ages ago (not contaminated) that I can use if needed.
