Screaming chick. ALL THE TIME

Vent is clear from what I can tell. You should be able to see it fairly easy, right?

Her buddies are thrilled at being in the incubator. They've flopped and are asleep.

How often should I feed her? Should I try getting food down, or just water?

Make sure they have fresh air coming in that incubator.

Yup! It has a fan in it. :)

I think you guys saved little Ellywe. She's standing up with her eyes open now and then. Still not moving and still loud, though. I'm not sure if I should just keep going with sugar water or try moistening some food and poke it down like the sugar water.

I'm sure she will thank you all when this is over!

I like to give chicks a sip of yolk water, (Note: don't leave it in the pen) just dip the beak in. and it must be fresh. Yolk water works if given early on before day 5, But if you chick makes it past day 5 or so it will probably be in the clear.

That's good news!
I would not try force feeding her. I would put some moistened chick feed in a shallow dish like the lid of a sour cream container and keep it in the brooder.

Good news!!

Guess who is walking, chewing me out, holding herself up, pecking food and now attacking me? :)

She's running around just like the others, so I tried putting her back in. As soon as her feet hit the floor her eyes went shut and she started crying again. She then followed everyone crying. As soon as I put her back in the incubator she shut up.

Should I just leave her? She's cramped in there with her buddies.
