And do you do the "yes sir" "yes Ma'am" too? I sure miss hearing that. You just don't hear kids around here say that. When I first moved here my youngest would say that and everyone thought it was so cute and then they would say "oh you don't have to say that" Messed up all my good training!

Yard full o' rocks :

Tim....yes it was me. However, almost all of my BR flock succumbed to cocci. I am going to try hatching some again from a different source in 2011

Sorry about that.

I can offer you some Col Rock eggs if you'd like.....just lemme know

As for the job, nothing yet. A couple of irons in the fire right now, but nothing in the form of an OFFER just yet. Its the CHRISTmas season and I am prepared for a miracle. We'll see what God has planned for me

Take care and let me know if you'd like some CR eggs. Sorry 'bout the BRs

Scott

I am sorry to hear that, now if there is anything I can do to help, let me know. I'm really into Dels and considering the cross situation everyone keeps talking about I'd better pass. I haven't heard to much around here about CR's though. I don't know how common they are. Lord knows Delawares couldn't be found except by hatcherys and some don't care if they are. Of course I'm working on getting them to the "dual" condition again. Many are just too skinny IMO.

Also sorry to hear about the job situation. It is hard. I hope this thing with the unemployment being extended is helping. Here in NY things don't look like they'll get better and according to the news folks are migrating west and south. DD and hers are in TX and DS and his are in AL.

Well, now I wasn't going to mention this but perhaps its a good time to, speaking of miracles.

Here at our church we believe in the entire Word of God and miracles. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Ghost too. One of the gentlemen in our church who I've known for many years was diagnosed with pancreactic cancer. A death sentence to be sure. Now here we don't take just a persons word for it, we expect the medical documentation to back it up. We also believe in the anoiting with oil and the the word that says. If any be sick let the elders pray and anoint them with oil. (you can look this up on Blueletterbible to find the exact verse.)
And so he did come forward for prayer and many prayed, laying hands on him as the word says. He did as far as I know begin treatment, but continued to be prayed for. Well yes, as you probably guessed on his last visit the test show no sign of cancer. Doctors have no explanation of course and I've seen other miracles in the church. As I stated the leadership looks for medical documentational proof that there was an illness and that there is in fact proof of cure. We are very careful in this area.

So what's my point to you Scott, as you know God is a God of miracles and be encouraged to expect one. Whether it's an answer as to what to do in your situation or that He has a job that's just right for you. Perhaps you should lay a fleece before the Lord as Gideon and I did? Mine is a long story, I'll share that some other time, except to say I got the job, inspite of the odds against me. Jehovah Jireh, The Lord our provider.

Wishing everyone the best

Rancher.

So out of this hatch I got 6 chicks ( 1 EE aka Satan aka screamer, 5 PCs) 1 Tky and 2 more tkys hatching.

Braclin, those are adorable pics! And your turkey is verrrry nice. Did you hatch him?

Kathy I've never seen an icelandic chick! Cool!

Kathy, best wishes for Brock to get back on track really soon. It's such a strain on a mom when the son is off the rails, in whatever way that is.

It's cold here, but sunny. Today is Day 19 for Nugget and she's doing well. We're expecting snow and a cousin I haven't seen in many years just called to say she and her DH are coming up next week, weather permitting. It's so hard to clean the house when you're always tracking in snow, dirt and other stuff! Maybe she'll postpone it if the weather is bad-she lives about 4 hours away, south of Atlanta.

I know exactly what you are experiencing. My [step] son, Dennis Jr. was diagnosed in 1986 at the tender age of 17. You're right! It is indeed a nightmare. One from which nobody in the nightmare gets to wake up from. Our boy was so bright and promising. And then he discovered illicit drugs and the heartbreaking results of recreational use thereof. Bad ones. And I still say to this day, that it was the illicit drugs that done him in.

Kathy, my heart is so reaching out to yours right now. I feel so badly for you. I know where you're at. I do know how heart breaking this is. You have my number, right? Just call me! ANY time, day or night! I don't give a good gosh darn what time it is, if you need me, I'm here! Just ten digit entries on your cell phone away!

Don't you dare hesitate to call me, OK? And don't be surprised if I call you at some point this weekend to check in on you and see how you're getting along.

Hang in there sweetie. It can, and often does, get better with medication. But you already know this, first hand, don't you!

But that doesn't change the here and now either, does it?
