Amy, Cetawin, it is a long story- I bred this girl in - let's see, she was born in 1996, She was a wonderful halter horse, and won a nice prize or two the year I showed her. She has had three drop dead gorgeous babies. She is probably my favorite horse I ever bred, and my DH adores her. HOWEVER, we weren't going to breed anymore, and my dear friend back in Wisconsin wanted to breed her to a big name stallion, so I gave her to my friend. Now my friend is having serious business troubles and needs to move some of her horses. I have the option of taking her back, and I would love to, but DH and I have promised ourselves to downsize- money is a bit tight, ya know? Plus, the two we have are in their mid 20's, and will not probably be here in another 5 years or so. Taking my girl back would be another long range committment that we are not sure we can handle - lugging 50 pound sacks of feed and stacking hay and all that is getting too much for my body. My knees are shot, and riding - well, I have given it up. And I HATE to board horses. You never know what will happen.
She us beautiful, grey, green broke, loves people. She had lots of halter training, but wasn't a freak. She is a typical Arab with some snort and blow and tail over back, but is very sensible. She had about three months under western saddle, and never gave us a problem. She lunges, is great with the farrier, blah, blah, blah. No problems that I ever encountered. Honest.
Amy, you are sweet - but it sounds like you are in the same boat I am with lifting. Cetawin, if you wanted her and I could figure out how to get her down here, I can't think of a better person to care for her and have fun with her. Her name is Joleta Bey. So you see how much she meant to me. . . . .
