Tennessee has DRY COUNTIES TOO. Guess who lives in one?

THANK the alcoholics we are sandwiched between two NONdry counties. I can make it to the "local" liquor store in less than 10 minutes. Not that I've, um, you know, uh, timed it or anything.

Speaking of which, I need more wine (note to self).

Did I mention my SILEES? Here are pics. They are the slightly poofy headed white and gray chicks. Pretty sure I have 1 girl and 1 boy. They are HILARIOUS looking.

For size reference the little tan chick betweenthem in the 2nd picture is a pure bantam cochin (mixed colors, but both parents were bantam cochins) from the same hatch.

You crack me up, too. You been in the margaritas already?

I wish you did want to breed & show d'Uccles. It would be nice to have more competition....

Not yet. Did have a virgin daiquiri at the local mexican spot at lunch. Had to go ahead with the virgin as my bosses often eat there as well. One time (at band camp) I was having lunch there with a coworker and were were tempted to have a margarita. But restrained ourselves as there is a zero tolerance policy at work and they do testing off and on. When we asked for our check they said it had already been paid by the guys "over there". Turns out our bosses were on the other side of the place and had picked up our check already. Can you imagine if it said MARGARITAS on there? LOL

Don't worry, Cyn, everyone asks that, as it is an unusual name. I pronounce it Jo-LEE-ta, but I am not sure I am pronouncing it correctly myself. I found it in a book once and decided to pronounce it that way. Her dam's name is Tah Zaman's Elite, so it sort of rhymed with Elite.

Neither of us drink much, so I never pay attention to who is dry or not. I worry more about where I can get the best steak!

Yard full o' rocks :

Well...LadyHawk is a fine cook!! Not sure about restaurants out there.....

I can second this!!!!

ARE there any area restaurants near her? I'm thinking they are about as common as liquor stores

She IS kinda out in the sticks

You are the master of understatement.

DH was listening HARD for a banjo playing in the distance as we drove to her house!

HEY! STOP HATING THE STICKS!!! I like it out here where I can kill things messing with me or my chickens and no one cares. Banjos indeed

Thank you both for your compliments...I see now Yard Full Of It is not accusing me of giving him food poisoning now...he did for awhile after dinner here.

He was ticked off because I had been here a month plus and had no clue I was in dry county. hahahaha Lexington is not dry Scott.

Now Lori...you know that handsome Dexter liked it out here. Your other babies love it. Plus, I have 118 acres right next door for Joleta and I to polish our riding skills on.

Beth we have a Charley's Steak House and there are several in Lexington that we have not tried though.

Hey, want to see Maximus? He is 75% English Orpington. I got him and 5 other BBS Orps from Justuschickens59.

Here is Skoche, pretty sure a blue pullet, and the sweetest little thing:

No one competes with Ultrasuede, he has his American girls, I just fell for the flouncy, petticoat look of these beauties and decided I could keep two sets of Orps.
