Reminds me of the Marans craze a few years ago, people just buying them to produce more to make money. Nothing about quality, just make that money. Where in the world could feathered legs come from????
Got a few pics of my "this year's crop" of blue rocks. Im getting much much better quality and color using my splash roo over my black hens. The blues I hatched a few years ago have some brown coloring, which came from using my hatchery barred rocks. I kept them because they are such good little layers, but won't use them for breeding. If I go back to using barred rocks, Ill need some hens like what Scott has to try that experiment again.
