Sebastopol geese - selecting breeding stock, color genetics, and color improvement

Pics
Saddleback is a pattern it is found in various colors with the two most common being grey and buff.

TWT is found in Sebastopols and can happen as a juvenile or even at the two year molt.

AW can be found in any waterfowl. Some think it is genetic, some think high protein. It could be a combination of the two.

I am aware that sb is a "pattern" of color on the bird. What I wasn't clear about, and still am not, is whether or not this "color" thread would include or exclude sb? [btw love those buffs, shelly.] I have read back and forth on both twt and aw, but everyone's a know it all, so, knowing which know it all really knows it all is challenging. As much as I love those chocolate dunked geese, saddle is my thing... or I hope it will be in time anyway.

Miss Vicki, did Chris tell you about my Verbena?

Barb they look great!

JJ is his dad all over for sure. The girls are filling in more and look very nice. Thank you for sharing their pictures again. Very happy with this years improvements.
