Here are some still wet seb goslings out of the hatcher. I have a sinus inf and have been coughing a lot. Last night when I was helping one out of it's shell I was coughing a lot and I thought, great, now every time I cough, they will look for me! LOL!

Here are all 3.
Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!

OMG! They are adorable!

Sooo cute! i have a few eggs that should hatch over the next couple days and I can't wait! My other 2 are 3 days apart and the one is WAY bigger then the younger one. I put them in the bath tub last night for the first time (they are 2 weeks old now and the little one loved it! Splashing everywhere and zipping around under water, the bigger one, well he/she is terrified! spent the whole time at the edge of the tub looking at me like"get me out of here" i tried splashing water on him but it just upset him more. I can't believe a goose that doesn't like water except to drink it. lol

Everybody is pretty ratty looking from the breeding season
and blowing feathers but thought I'd share some pics I took tonight at PM chore time
.
Waiting on my first batch of goslings to hatch out tonight or tomorrow.

Cottage Rose-those are gorgeous! I love the grey heads. Is that standard with saddle backs? Do you sell hatching eggs? When you breed saddle backs, do you know the ratio of colored babies?

Here are a few more of my babies all fluffled out;

Some one told me that you could sex sebbie goslings by the darkness of their backs. I noticed 2 are darker and one is lighter. The lighter one is much mouthy-er. It is always biting the other two. Does anyone know about this sexing thing?

Thank you Daze & Josie.
I do not sell hatching eggs but will be offering started youngsters for sale late summer - fall.
With saddlebacks x saddlebacks you get 100% saddleaback offspring.
The markings on the head can vary from a cap to total coverage on the head and neck.
The heavilly marked SB are good to use to keep the pattern going.
If you keep breeding individuals with a small caps and saddles it eventually washes out the pattern.

Re. sexing by color...typcially when it coems to whites the females have a distinct dark cap and saddle as displayed on your finger biter
and the males are all yellow of have a light grey wash over yellow...but this not not 100% accurate all the time.
As for being "mouthy" that's a baby thing either sex can exhibit.

Here are my new babies meeting their "Real" Mama and Daddy. My daughter is supervising the first introduction, while I took a zillion photos.
Here are 2...
"What's this we have?"

"Are you my Mother?"
