Sebastopol Geese Thread !!!!!!!!!! SHOW YOUR PICS !!!!!!!!!!

Pics
My seb goose has 5 goslings now! I left her with them. The gander made me a little nervous, hovering over her and the goslings when I am around (which is a lot) so I put an x pen around her. Aren't they adorable? She had 10 eggs, wonder if she will hatch more? She is glued to that nest!

oh my goodness they are precious! I'll have to try to let my Sadie set and brood her own eggs next year, or later this year even. Maybe I'll stop selling her eggs ans let her keep them if she wants. That is too adorable!

I would love to have some of yours, as I am looking for colors, but I noticed they don't seem to be as fertile later in the season and you had quite a list of sold eggs already...

I"m sold up thru next week. I didn't know that about the eggs and fertility...I've only heard first year's egg may not be as fertile. But pretty much each batch of eggs that I've set or sold has developed so far....I'm waiting to hear about the eggs from last week. Your babies look just like the ones I just hatched in my bator though. Darker caps and saddles, so I don't know what mine will color out to be. Your Mom and Dad Sebbies are all white aren't they? I thought "future all white" babies hatched out all yellow... Keep taking pics- I love to see them with Moms or Dads and babies together! They are so cute and so much easier that way!

Omg!!! So cute!!!! Mabye she is hatching more is why she won't leave the nest.

I can't believe how much I love this little thing! Never owned a gosling and can't believe how friendly they are! Sebastian is asleep on me now! :) My daughter came home early from school. He is helping her feel better:

Yes they are quite friendly. I wanted a diaper for mine when little! I hope your daughter feels better! We were just through that yuck too!

How much are you asking again for your eggs? Last year was both of my gooses first year. The first month or so was fertile, but then not after that. My gosling hatched last year looked just like these with the gray saddle and turned out all white. Yes my trio are all white and curly breasted. I can't wait until the mom comes out and they all follow her around like ducklings! Camera is ready!

I've got an on-going "Buy it Now" post in the BST threads...2 eggs (+ a 3rd if its' laid in time to ship in a timely manner -like M,T, or W) for $40 +shipping.
That's good to know about the gosling coloring...I thought I'd read that white adults will hatch all yellow (or maybe the all yellow goslings are males? I dont' remember.)
We just put colored velcro legbands on our babies and named them; Scout, Sophie, and Sasha
That way, at least Scout and Sasha could still be their names if they turn out to be males. Will get a pic of all 3 shortly. Here is a cute one taken of Scout a while ago.
