No, there is only one comb type with Sebrights and that is rose comb. Yours has a single comb, which normally would have disqualified it.So, we entered our golden sebright in the county fair this week and he took a blue ribbon. However, there were other sebrights there as well and they all had rose combs. Ours has a straight comb. Are there two different kinds of sebrights? My sebright is my avatar.
ummm not too sure why this little guy was not disqualified other than the fact the judges were completely and utterly cluelessSo, we entered our golden sebright in the county fair this week and he took a blue ribbon. Quote: Well it was a county fair..... This year at our county fair we had some college graduate judge our birds and all she ever did was collegiate judging. I didn't mind her judging the production characteristics, but when she placed a pair of BBRed OEGB as the Grand Champion Pen of Poultry (meaning out of chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys) and the rooster wasn't even dubbed, that really ticked me off. And we usually have APA licensed judges at our county fair. Ugh, people...
The standard of perfection is one thing, and a competition is another thing. do they ever withhold prizes cause there are no perfect birds in the competition?.Well it was a county fair.....
