yup look like hens to me. At that age if they were roos youd definitely see some more red comb emerging

I respectfully disagree. Chick #2 is starting to look like a cockerel. I can't tell with Chick #1 because of the angle.

Chick 2 did start to "take over" today. It was more laid back but pecked the back of Chick 1's neck today and made Chick 1 peep loudly.

I'm scared now.

How old are they again? maybe a couple months? I thought maybe the comb would be more bright in color but a closer picture I think would do justice in proving its a roo... I don't think my eye sight is so good haha

They're 4 weeks old. They'll be alive exactly one month in 3 days...

So you need some more pictures of Chick 2's comb?

Well im pretty sure Year of the Roo wold have a good eye for it. Maybe wait a couple more weeks and it will definitely be more clear. Too bad you cant have roos They have such a funny posture when they are showing off. And the usual squeeky crow

Actually, I can have 1. I just would prefer not to have one. I live in the country so it's not a problem but I wanted 3 hens ideally and can't get another chicken.
