I thought I might start a thread for Sebrights, since I haven’t seen any lately. I’ve got 3, 2 pullets and a cockerel, who I will be breeding as soon as they start laying. I’m trying to breed to show quality, and have some fun with it!

My current question, is if you breed a Buff Laced to a Silver laced, will 50% be Buff and 50% be Silver? I’ve heard yes and no. Same with Golden and Silver?

Here’s my guys! :

Penguin, my gold sebright hen from tractor supply. She’s shy and doesn’t like to be caught, but she does like to run up to me periodically to check if I have any treats. She’s also very sweet once I’ve caught hold of her. Penguin didn’t lay eggs until she was almost a year old, which I find impressive. I’d love to cross her to other breeds and see what I could get, but that’s not an option right now.
