No pips as of this morning. Praying they hatch safely.

I went up to check on the hens and heard faint peeping from both nests! I think they have started the process of hatching!

So far we still hear peeping here and there and one egg has a pip in it. I didn't throughly check the eggs because I didn't want to move the hens.

Not sure how many pips we have between the two nests, but we have one zip!

Two chicks have hatched! I removed the eggshells. I dont know how many more eggs have pips, but I'm going to bed. Hoping I wake up to lots of babies!

As of this morning 6 chicks have hatched a d one more has pipped! I will get more pictures after the hatching is all done. I don't want to disturb them too much. It looks like we have a black chick with a white belly, a light grey chick and a dark grey chick, two chipmunk looking chicks, and one light creamy brown one so far.
