Till 8-12 inches tall, yep, it's somewhat soggy here, but it'll work out, on those tomatoes, plant them deep if they get leggy, it'll work out fine.

SADDINA-Thank you for the information. They are getting a little leggy, can I do the samething to the peppers( bury them deeper)?
Well, they are only about 1.5- 2" And they are still working on their first true leaves. So I have a little while before I transplant.
Thanks again~ Tacey

Just checked and now I have a few seeds sprouted, I wasn't getting good enough germination so I bought a mini covered heated greenhouse which I spent $40 on! I planted the seeds less then a week ago and 1/4 of the seeds have sprouted already and with out it has taken more then 3 weeks and I only have 4 seedings out of 15 pots. I'm starting my cherry tomatoes, squash(ufo),cucumber, peppers. My herbs are coming in the mail along with an edible flower collection and I have dwarf veggie plants for my containers. I bought a really good grow light so i'm going to grow as much as I can pre started so that as soon as I can plant them outside I'll have nice size plants and will plant more seeds to start a second crop. I was lucky this year I bought many containers to grow potted plants in, the feed store had some on for 80% off so I bought lots of them.

I have my growing light set up and my seed shipment should come here in a couple od days

I like to start mine on Feb 27. For tomatoes I like to have them in the ground on the first weekend of April. Thats usually good for where I live. May be a little later this year. Usually about the middle of April for peppers. Usually we plant onions about the middle of Feb. here but its too wet right now. Potatoes on St. Patricks day. I direct seed every thing else. Green beans about the same time as tomatoes. Sqaush and cukes about the same time as peppers. If I plant melons about the first to middle May. Okra about the middle of May. We have so many European Starlings here when I put tomatoes in the garden I stake each side then run trot line cord about 18 inches off the ground and tie plastic grocerie bags above each plant to keep the birds from biting them off at the ground. The like to use the baby tomatoe plants for nest making material. The bags flopping in the wind seems to scare them away from the little plants. Last year they seem to be a little bolder so I may have to make some cages out of rabbit wire so they cant get at them.

I am attempting to grow some Wolf River Apples from seed, I just put them into cold storage for the next month or two (they are in dirt in a fridge). Then I'll pull them out, and cross my fingers. I hope they sprout!!
