Seeking Info on new "Asia Black" Chicken "Breed"

His/her left foot--is that how s/he normally holds it? How about walking? Does s/he walk "normally" like the others?

No the chick normally has it sprawled out, walks, runs, jumps, climbs just fine :) It was squirming in my hands and wanted out. My 4 year old was loving all over it then i took it from her lol. My other chick just closes its eyes and doesnt want to deal with it. haha

Both of these "Asian Black" I got from TSC, the 2nd is staying black but the first is getting a lot of red.
When did you get yours? To me they look almost the same age as mine, perhaps 5-7 days only older...
The red/orange tones I'm getting on several of my girls.
It's confusing with mine bcs I have 10 chicks together (based on age-sameness/bought same day). Before it even occurred to me that I was messing up my ability to observe each supposed breed on it's own, they were already together. Silly me.
Three are cockerels so they're easy to distinguish.
I keep saying I need to take more pics...I was a it under the weather this week so lots slid right by me. But things are looking upo now so I expect to get and post those pics soon. My pullets have that rusty color coming in, at least most of them do. That may be the telling factor between the SLs and the Asians? The amount of rust-coloring varies greatly between the different chicks.
I'm now trying to also learn when it's ok to intro them to an outdoor setting...we're having highs in the low 90's in the day/high 60's to low 70's at night. Off topic but are those temperatures ok for birds that hatched the last week of march?

OK that's really good news. I didn't want to ask the question in an alarming way...just worried there for a bit, hoping for the exact answer you said!

I am in Indiana, got them at tractor supply. They said they received them that day. They are 4 weeks old. I only got 3 of those and 3 of what they called new Hampshire reds. They are strange looking as well. Also, supper funny to watch. I am hoping they are all pullets, that's what I thought I was buying.
I won't put them out with the other full grown birds till they are 10 To 12 weeks. Plan on using a dog kennel to acclimate to the flock. Read about it on BCS.

poor feet...
how is it doing?

It does very well, runs, jumps, climbs,no problems its foot isnt always clutched together like that, its normally all sprawled out... it was just wanting out of my hands and squirming lol.the chick has no problems at all though :) Just extra toes
