I have an 18 wk welsummer. She's usually very friendly and curious. A little skittish, but will eat out of my hand, doesn't mind being petted but doesnt really like to be picked up.
Today is Saturday

Wednesday she was fine, she was out side with the other 4 hens, all the same age, been together since 3 weeks.

Thursday, my husband noticed she wasn't really socializing with the others. He said one wing was drooping, but it isn't any more. She slept in the nesting box. I thought maybe she was getting ready to lay an egg. We have golf balls in there right now.

Friday night I came home from work, he said she still seemed sad. Was kind of laying in the window of the coop, in the sun. Still not socializing. He said she was walking funny and wanted to curl her feet. We brought her in the garage last night and kept her in a pet carrier with a light bulb for heat. She was eating layer feed. Not really drinking too much. Occasionally opening her mouth.

Saturday she was standing, her feet looked normal. I put her in with the other birds. It's very cold out. They all went outside, including her. She was kind of hanging out by herself. She came back and walked about half way up the ramp to the coop and half stumbled, and sat and rested for a couple minutes. She came back into the coup and went right into the nesting box. She is very quiet still. I brought her back into the kennel in the garage. Made her a scrambled egg with 1/2 bananna and she ate most of it. Not really drinking much. Some normal poop and some diareah in kennel. I cleaned the poop out of the kennel and brought the kennel in the house. She has been standing closing her eyes. She has been lying down. I mixed up some amprolium into the water, just in case it is cocci. She won't really touch the water. I put some in with her food and now she won't eat her food. She picked at it and made some clicking noises. She opens her beak some times when she breathes--not a lot. Doesnt really want water even from an eye dropper. I didn't put a light in with her now that she's in the house because I don't want her to get too warm. What else should I do? The rest of the chickens are acting normally so far.

poop is kind of dark green. watery but with some substance . Shes standing but still opening mouth slightly when she breathes. I got her to drink some water with an eye dropper and then she drank a little out of the waterer when I held it up to her. still super quiet

no worms in poop. Poop is white and green and white part is sticky. I heard that's from not eating. Made her another scrambled egg and put it on top of the layer feed mash with amprolium water. she's eating! she is still stretching her neck and opening her mouth when she breathes. Shook her head a couple of times. Signs of gape worm? Hard to believe, sounds uncommon.

I picked up some duramycin,

The other chickens are still fine. She is still able to stand. Made her an other egg this morning and she hasnt eaten it yet.
I can't seem to get a qtip in her mouth to check for gape worm, but it sounds unlikely anyway.
Nobody has responded to my posts, but I called a couple of people. There really are no vets around here for chickens.

I tried to give her olive oil with dropper, but she won't really take it.

Will try mixing about 3/4 tsp of duramycin to a quart of water and see how much I can get into her and see how that goes.

She doesnt have gapeworms. It's possible she might be eggbound or egg impacted at this early stage, it happens sometimes. If she's impacted, there's not much that can be done. Try soaking her in a container of warm water up to her sides. Gently massage her underside front to rear for about 20 minutes while she's soaking. The warm water will relax and expand her innards, massaging will help move the egg along. You can repeat this as necessary if this is what the problem is. Hopefully she'll lay an egg. Other possibilities could be cocci, worms, or ecoli.
Also, inspect her for lice/mites especially around the vent area.

Was your hen vaccinated for Mareks disease? She sounds like she has a few symptoms like the stumbling, curled toes, green poop (but that can be a lot of things.) So which are you treating her with right now, the Duramycin or the Coccidiosis med? The symptoms of coccidiosis are lethargy, diarrhea, sitting puffed up, ruffled feathers, and not eating. Usually by her age they should be immune to what is in the home yard. Now if she is new or other new birds have been brought in recently, she could have another strain of coxy(there are 9.) I would do as Dawg says and check her for being egg bound and for mites since they can look like this. Worming might also help. She also needs to be on poultry vitamins in case her toe curling is due to a B2 (riboflavin) deficiency.
some say not to give vitamins while on Corid for coxy because it is a thiamine blocker, but I would give them for the toe curling now.

I ruled out the cocci.

I think the stumbling is because she is getting mal nourished.
I put some duramycin in her weater and a little bit of the Sav A Chick Electrolyte sprinkled in. I started with an eye dropper and she took some. eventually she drank some right out of her waterer. She took just a couple of bites of the egg I made her today. I am trying to download a little video of her. She is kind of resting now, but I feel better about it because she spent the last hour eating a bit and drinking some. I will try to get the videos on. she can stand and has been standing quite abit today.
She's weak from not eating. She mostly farts when she is trying to poop. poop is still bright dark green and white. White part is pasty.

Thanks for the Mereks info. I don't think that is what it is. She's been eating and drinking this am. she can stand, and has been standing some. Just very listless and mouth breathing at this point. Other chickens ( 4 more) still seem fine. they all came from the same place a the same time at about 2-3 wks old. Have not been with other birds
