Interestingly, pen 1 hasn't hatched as well as the other two pens. I am breeding one male to 3 females. The eggs are marked as:
SB1A, SB1B, SB1C and I am tracking results that way.
Prior to last week, pen 1 and pen 3 hatch rates were not as good as I'd like. Last week, all three pens hatched well, so hopefully, this week will provide another good week of SB's.
I am shutting down hatching over the next couple weeks, and I am now breeding, the SB Male that you saw, to Pen 3 females, and the best yellow legged f3 split male to my f2 SB females. Just want to get some more numbers and also see if there is any difference in feather quality as adults. These two breedings should result in 50% SB's compared to 25% with split x split.
