Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

Does anyone have any Lavenders that are for sale? I would love a pair or trio, but would also be interested in just a rooster.
I have two beautiful 8 week old porcelians that I think are boys. I hatched these eggs from CaliforniaCountry Ranch a great breeder from the Sacramento area. Also have a 10 week old light lavender from colombian breeding that I'm undecided on sex. Let me know if you're interested I could look into shipping and post pics. Good luck in your search!

Thank you. I am looking for something a little bit older preferably, and also sexed. I found a rooster and am now looking for some ladies to go with him.

I visited Catdance farm a month ago and purchased eggs and a White trio. Best field trip of the year for me!

My eggs finished hatching today. Twelve live gorgeous chicks out of thirteen viable eggs. My best hatch EVER in an incubator.

Three Lavender eggs resulted in two live chicks with stunning color. One unpipped Lavender chick died in the shell. Yolk was fully absorbed and the chick had an enormous vaulted skull. It didn't even internally pip.

The two chicks I have came from eggs marked L and L 3. I saw those pens and they were so beautiful I dreamed about them!

Here are pictures of some of my precious babies. Portraits taken with hatch mates.

Chick number ten a Buff and chick number eleven Lavender.

First chick is Lavender pen three, a Partridge, and a Paint.

You're going to have so much fun with these guys!!

Hey all, I've been looking tirelessly for a few lavender silkie pullets for my daughters rooster. No luck so I'm ready to buy straight run chicks or least preferably hatch another batch. Does anyone have anything that you are willing to ship to the KC area or is close enough to pick up? I'm traveling to the Springfield/Branson area this weekend and could pick up around there too. Also, I gave up on lavender and had assumed that self-blue was the same but now am not so sure. I will read through this thread more, but any clarification would be great too :)

Sending you a PM.

WJMcCoy I was going to suggest PeepBlessed but I see she is getting in touch with you.

PeepBlessed I have a question for you. I have some new babies and was wondering if this is a splash baby? I have never hatched my own splash and I think it is but not certain. The color is so close to my lavender babies it isn't even funny.

Including a new picture of my pretty boy so I am not derailing this thread. I think he is starting a molt. UGH!

So strange! I remember responding to this. I definitely forgot to press the submit button. I even posted a picture! Your cockerel is looking mighty fine!!
Here's a photo of three self-blue chicks and a light blue chick. My splash are usually lighter than this but sometimes you do get a dark splash. You will know in a few weeks. If it's blue it will darken pretty quickly, 3 - 4 wks.

These chicks are a few hours old. The front left facing is blue and the rest are lav.
