i would accept his offer because then if he says hes not buying them for the other proce you might not be able to get rid of them after that

wow, I think 85 was a great price for you.

i went to a small animal auction a couple weeks back and could have bought ~30 cockerels for $0.75 each if I wanted them. they were about 12 weeks so just big enough to make the processing worth the trouble. the best roosters in the sale went around $7-8 and they were very nice birds. there were some POL hens there that brought only $5-7, a bargain i would say.

I know people sometimes don't want to have their birds go for dinner or something, but one thing we all have to realize is that once you sell a bird, it's no longer yours and no longer under your control. I think the OP got a great deal! I have a hard time selling even a really nice bird around here for $15. And I won't sell for less because if anyone is going to eat them, it'll be me, who put all that feed in them in the first place.

If he can provide safe transport for them I would do it. I can't control what happens to them after they leave, but I can control HOW they leave. Sell them all at once, let them leave in appropriate caging.

Can't hardly give them away here unless they're a rare breed or super pretty.
