I'm having to give up my bonded male-female pair for some family health reasons. They are set to go to a sanctuary in Oregon through another rescue as I couldn't find any local adopters. It's a long story but due to an injury my female sustained so I've had to keep them separated but insight of each other. The sanctuary said they would be able to do the same. I knew they would be put up for adoption butt when I talked to them today and double checked that if they were adopted they be be adopted out together she said well their will probably be other ducks around and they can become unbonded so they may go separate. She did say if they were bonded they'd keep them together but I don't know if they'll be good at judging that. Does anyone know the likelihood of them becoming unbonded? As of now my male is EXTREMELY attached to my female and is probably the one I'm most worried about.
