Seperating chicks

I`m getting 3 day old chicks and two 5 day old chicks . Should I put something to seperate the day olds and 5 day olds ( when the 5 days olds are ready to go live in the coop I have a seperate one for them from TSC ) or would they be OK for a couple weeks (I will post pics of the chicks when I get them!!)

Oh no, you will be completely fine. I've raised 1 week with 1 day old - they were fine. I wouldn't worry unless the day olds were with 4 week olds. You can put 3 week olds in with day olds with no worries as well.

Some of mine are at least a week younger and everyone is fine - one of the little Buffs has latched onto a big Gold Star to sleep beside! I wonder about other breeds though? Maybe a less friendly breed would not be so kind?
