I now have 4 big girls...room for 2 more...makes sense to get 2 for company while they grow! By then it should be obvious what is a pullet? Or else I'll be driving any roosters back!

no, no roo's in this batch they are hatchery ordered pullets,,fingers crossed i havent had them send a mistake yet. lol will hold 2 for you then.

guys I am getting mad at my birds!!! I just want some eggs and they wont give them up. Any advice?

I've got some reluctant layers too...started about a week ago...been averaging about 1 a day. LOCKED them up today....got 6 eggs total out of 9 hens. SO someone has a secret hiding place!! THEY are in JAIL for the next week.

Cannot wait for my 14 babies to start laying come November......

I have found a few eggs out in my yard...everytime it is a surprise, cause they always squak at each other to get out of the box!!!

I wish you were closer but 3 hours to drive is a bit much for me... :0( Hope you have a wonderful time! The 2nd time will be much easier then the 1st. Look for the girl with the chicken legs and your going to find Cheryl...LOL if she still has those pants.
