September and October Hatch-A-Long

I would neve
I never put mine on lockdown.... I leave them in the turners.[/quoter ] I would never leave them in the turners as it can cause problems when the chicks are getting ready to hatch

I tried taking them out most never hatched the bottom of the bator sucks the moisture out of them. this way i get more then half to hatch.

Is your incubator a still air or do you have a fan? If it has a fan, I wonder if the air might be drying them out? I am new at this so I really don't know. I am just trying to justify that mine are fine on the bottom of the incubator. Lol

I have one of each and i generally get the same hatch rate with both. Ive tried setting them on the side, putting them in egg cartons for hatch, etc never had good hatched those ways. I dont turn my turner off until i see a pip. :) works for me.

If I don't get a good hatch, I will try that next time :)
