Well Ive got 2 broody button quail hens now! Yay!
Miss 'Stubs' is sitting on 11 eggs, and Miss 'Silver Flash' is on 6 possibly 7 eggs. These are both 1st time broody's so hopefully all goes well.
Due dates are the 17th and then the 25th.
I try not to incubate any of my eggs, i let everything happen naturally so hatches around here are a little more spaced out than if i cranked up the old 'bator lol but that means i tend to get extra excited about new hatches!

I am down to 33 out of 45 eggs. 10 days left to go, and the rest of the eggs look so strong and healthy. I just LOVE watching the embryos swimming around. I know right now they must look like little alien blobs in there, but I love them just the same!

OMG I am in lockdown 2day!! I can't wait 13 babies will b hatching this weekend!!
I went to Orschlen's 2day to by dog feed and they had baby chicks

I bought 5 They are BO!

They are about 2 weeks younger than my last hatch! they are a week old today! OMG I have not told my hubbie yet! He is gonna say "Amder you already have too many u got 13 in bator 2 babies outside and 11 bigger chickens!" I say I couldn't resist!
I have 1 baby BO I am worried about though I did not notice this in the store the one baby stays off by herself and walks in circles does not walk a straight line like the rest of them! uh oh I'm affraid I am gonna lose her

Candled today! 14 out of 44 eggs are still alive.

But still I am happy, 44 Silkies would have been a little to many.

I sold all 3 baby quail this morning ... got $15.00 for them + I sold 2 half grown button males so I made $25.00.

Then I bought a 50 lb. bag of Game Bird Crumbles for - $15.00 .. so ...

Have a dozen Silkies in the bator due the 24th...
Have 6 mixed eggs under a broody due? Have no idea when, next week or the week after.
Have 6 BCMs coming either tomorrow or Friday. They will be due the first of next month.
My Cochin bantam just hatched her only egg two days ago which is a WellieXAm... cute!!!
