September Hatch-a-long!

Pics
OK, so I did more research @ariri30 and came up with a boat load of information! Here's a list of chickens that could have tinted eggs. Most are a light pink tint on brown or cream eggs and I think that has something to do with the bloom. Some have some kind of connection to Araucanas and Ameraucanas. All listed chickens have been on at least one website saying they are 'tinted', meaning pink, blue and green. One might even have a purple tint! I have no clue how accurate my Web search have been, so some of this could be completely false, so don't shoot the messenger! I've definitely found some chickens I might want to get one day!
The P might be phoenix.

The green ones say NC right? Maybe the first letter on both the green and blue ones are a color/variety? And the second letter is the breed?

Yes.
I must say, however, that my vote/guess is not based on long term, personal experience. It is my understanding that the females start feathering in quicker than males, and I have read that this is not consistent for all types/breeds.
Great I have been reading a lot too. And I came up with the same theory. Time will tell and I hope we are right. I will let you know in a few weeks. Thanks so much!:hugs

Thanks! My neighbor does have a great deal of experience. She looked at my 3 hatched chicks' wings and showed me why she said all 3 are female. Your 2 look like mine did. :fl
