I just woke up, have work again in an hour, at least I'll be busy :barnie
One of the pips is zipping, yay! The original hole is very yellow, shes taking her time...
No change with the other two pips. I thought I might check on whether the flowery egg was still alive. I washed my hands and quickly reached in, picked it up, and omylord she starting hollering and kicking at me from inside there! She didn't like being woken up, and is very clearly alive. I hate how worried I get lol.
I've got another cream legbar almost out, and three new pips :)))

I got someone to trade me work-shifts :D setting up my brooder!
Took me two hours to leave for work and return, and when I got home, two of the unchanged pippers I was worried about had fully hatched! They were just waiting for me to leave, little stinkers :p
Big flowery egg still hasnt changed, but I poked a hole in the membrane just in case, she started cheeping loud and kicking again. Maybe she just likes naps....
5 with pips including hers, 4 with nothing yet (day 20 so not worried), and 5 hatched
:wee:ya
Your fluffies are super cute Slordaz. I'm debating on whether to use pup pad or paper towel in the brooder atm... I noticed my seramas claws would catch in the pup pad. Hrm.

Sounds like you're going to be busy. I think the ladies must now know what guys feel like when they're waiting for a baby :gig
Can't say I can relate to the guys, but I know what it feels like for me to wait for mine....expecting my first, and I'm at week 30.5. What I want to know is why Thanksgiving is taking so darn long to get here? I am sick of my ribs being used as a xylophone.
I put 24 chicken eggs in lockdown yesterday...the 6 turkey were infertile,...... grrrr stupid tom.
Slacker!

Update on my eggs: I candled last night. My duck eggs go on lock down tomorrow, but it looks like quite a few quit. I have 3 duck eggs left. I also checked my AC eggs: 3/5 going strong at day 11. I also have about 5 SB eggs going strong. Since I have 2 incubators and can use one for a hatcher, I am going to add a second batch of AC/SB eggs this evening. My DH is not very good about collecting all the eggs for me when I feel too tired/cruddy to take care of the birds, but he does check those two pens faithfully (mostly because the AC hen likes going broody and he knows how poorly that worked the last two times she tried it).

Another one!

Chicken math strikes again! Someone stop me. :gig
No, please don't.
I have 26 chicken eggs in the incubator, two cochin bantam chicks and two muscovy ducklings all from the same person. Now I'm going to get two adult female muscovies. And she just texted me if I wanted a young drake (male) too! This woman is going to be the death of me!
No, no she's not.
