LOCKDOWN for me too :-D
Started with 8 silkie eggs, 1 was unfertile, 1 quit day 9/10, another quit day 14/15 so i'm left with 5 little babies making big movements inside egg
So eggcited!! and very nervous too. Hope i can keep the humidity to where it should be for the next few days.
Woo hoothey made it this far![]()
Currently at 75% but i'm sure that'll go down within the next few hours (homemade incubator).
Keeping fingers crossed that everyones eggs hatch ok![]()
Put both bators in lockdown last night. Managed to keep from candling till lockdown. Tossed 4 clears from the homemade bator. That leaves 12. 18 in the borrowed bator. Now I get to find out of my homemade bator is any better than the borrowed one I used last month. Temps went crazy when I upped the humidity. But it seems steady at 100 now and humidity is staying between 65-75. Fingers crossed
I can't stand it! All the chicks....the cuteness!!! The CUTENESS!! I'm afraid that when mine hatch I'm not gonna be able to put them down...is too much cuddling bad for them? My husband keeps telling me that I can't hold them a lot because it's bad for them to be handled.

keep them warm and your hands clean...but especially if one of them is chirpy I hold them under a wash cloth on my chest to replicate them climbing under a momma...and let them sleep while I watch a tv program
