September Hatch-A-Long!

well the rest of my week olds 4 cream legbars and 2 silkies, still in the house under the heat, are all wheezing...I'm trying to act like a tough chicken farmer but I'm really just worried sick!! my outside birds all seem fine...I have an orpington I'm a little worried about, I noticed that she's sitting in her nest box all the time and her comb has some blue points on it...I think she's wanting to sit but I keep taking her eggs! so I put the RX on her comb gave her some banana, because she loves it, and put a baby water out there! I think she's dehydrated.

something that did make me smile! my first baby laid an egg yesterday!

Oh no, there is SOMETHING going through Texas right now I swear :( That sounds like what hit here and at my BF's. We got Tylan water soluble from Amazon and it did the trick here as far as I can tell. The expert I consulted with A & M Poultry lab thought it sounded like a bacterial infection.

I'm seriously vexed! For the last week and a half everything with my bator had been nice and stable! Last night we went into lockdown and took the egg turner out and laid the eggs down, and now nothing is stable! My temps dropped to 97f without the turner and then jumped to 102f! I can't get it to stabilize and I can't get my humidity down! I've come so far and I'm so scared that my babies will drown, overheat or freeze! Ugh!

I really hope not :(
This is my first ever hatch and has been insane. I bought 8 Porcelain Silkie eggs and not one of them made it, and that broke my heart. My A/C stopped working on the hottest week of the year and my temps went up to 102.8f and I had to put a window unit in my bedroom to help keep the temp stable and now this. Thankfully my Momma Silkie didn't reject the eggs we switched out for hers. At least that went well.
