Opened up the one that I was sure was an early quitter and was right. Tiny tiny little thing with a whole lot of yolk in there. Membrane was still fairly moist so no shrink wrapping.

Going by from when I sat them to 24 hours later (so I sat them sat the 7th at 8:50pm and considered sunday the 8th at 8:50pm to be one full day) they are into day 22 now. Not shipped eggs. They are my own flocks eggs. Do you have an article, threads, ect that you would recommend on how to do a pip to check? Or could you tell me? I fear the 3 might already be gone. We did have a lot of problems with the incubator not only spiking high with the temp but also dropping low and the humidity dropping pretty badly. Just last night it dropped to 42% while I slept.
Here or on ebay?
I tried that but she cries. It's just like having a baby. Crazy. My friend was laughing yesterday at how much like a baby she is. My friend would hold her if I had to do something. She said Max never calmed down until I came back. She copies whatever I do. She doesn't like eating out of bowls, she prefers forks and spoons. I have to eat it first or she won't eat it. Except rocks. She loves really big rocks. What about a little tiny cage with her hand warmer in it on the bed next to you? She can be close without danger of rolling on her - like a turkey co-sleeper![]()
Quote: since you've had issues with the incubator cooling then that's why they are delayed...the ones you didn't see movement in may just be in the stage where they are quite before they pip...try to breath!
and 42 % isn't that bad...I've had them hatch with less because they came early![]()

I mean quiet!! UGH
Moved on to the second egg I thought was a quitter. Pipped a tiny hole but membrane was pure white . wet it with a q-tip and saw no movement. Opened a little more, wet more membrane, still no movement. Got whole shell over air sac removed, wet it, absolutely zero movement after several minutes and calling to it. Figuring I was now preforming an eggtopsy I removed the membrane over the air sac. accidently hit internal membrane and a tiny bleed started. When that happened? A whole flutter of movement! The membrane was again pure white so I wet it a little before quickly wrapping it in a warm paper towel and putting it back in the bator. Now, however, the membrane is going pure white again and I can no longer see in and the babe is not moving either. Bleeding seems to have stopped though.
Is the snow white membrane normal?
