September Hatch-A-Long!

did you candle them? you aware that shipped eggs are risky?

I live in the city so no roosters for me :(
All of my hatches have been mail order eggs.
Before this hatch I've done 5 hatches from ebay eggs from 10 sellers.
My worst hatch was 4 blue marans where 1 hatched and my best was 12 lavender orpingtons where I was sent 18 and 17 hatched!
On average I've had about a 60-75% hatch rate on ebay eggs.
So it is risky, but I've been pretty fortunate (knock on wood!)
I always buy eggs from a seller not too far from me (midwest to lower east coast). I read their feedback ahead of time and always let the eggs rest for a full 24 hours before they go in.
The marans are in here rocking around, but not seeing much for the Isbars yet. Hatch date is supposed to be Friday, but the marans seem anxcious to get out!
I did candle (With the marans it was pointless these eggs are so dark I couldn't see anything).
I got 6 Isbars, one I pulled out because it never started. 2 I'd say are pretty questionable, but didn't want to pull them out "just in case" since it's only my 6th hatch. Three of them were looking good at Day 15 so fingers crossed!!!!

I also used an automatic egg turner on this hatch, which I took out when they went into lockdown and laid them down on their side, resting against the sides of the incubator around a 30 degree angle. I'm hoping this was the right thing to do, it's a little late to change it up now!!!

Day 20-

This is my malpositioned chick that I posted about earlier. Helped a little but he/she kicked out on her/his own a few hours ago!
Also I had a lav silkie hatch too. They are cuddling together.
I have a few more that are piped but seem to not be quite ready yet.

Yay!!

I have some quail eggs in with my regular hen eggs and I've been reading that I may have just goofed up (different hatch days.) How would you recommend I handle the quail eggs which need to go into lock down 3 days earlier than the chicken eggs?

If you find eggs that aren't developing, would you replace them with new ones or would you just wait till your next hatch? There are two regular eggs that I am not seeing any development and
wondered if it was safe to eat them at this point. Or should I do something else with them?
