September Hatch-A-Long!

i am using the hovabator 1602 ? the very basic model. no fan,

im a bit of a fanatic. i have 4 thermometers and 2 hygrometer ( one is way off - but its attached to one of my thermometers.

2 thermos on the eggs and 2 on the floor. one on each side.

ive already incubated 36 eggs and ended up with 5 drowned chicks... so this time im determined to do good ;)

ive also kept notes, weighed the eggs, im going to draw the air lines tmrw (day7).

You sound like me! I am going to be horrid! I am very nervous about being a chick midwife!

yes i have. i think i need to go back and see if there is a way to get my humidity lower. i cant remember what was suggested

i wasnt trying to do a dry hatch.. its just to get my humidity down from like 80% i had to remove all water.. and its still a but high.
i think next time i wont set up next to a fish tank.. of corse the 24/7 constant rain weve had all summer that has my dirt growing alge probly isnt helping either...

I candled my shipped pea eggs on tues.night, all 4 had been showing no signs of fertility or rolling egg yolk, but I keep them in just in case,i now have 2 growing peas YIPEEE! N the colors I hoped for.candled my muscovy eggs I got from a breeder n out of 6 I have 4 growing ducks Yipeee! I am sooo excited for hatch date.......
