September Hatch-A-Long!

Day 7 and no mess ups with bator. Temp steady between 37.3 and 37.8C Humidity adjusted down 3% after re weighing the 5 egg avg.( although it's very confusing as 2 eggs lost the required 5% in 7 days and 1 was only .3gr off but one was a whole gram more than it should have been) candled all the eggs 7 clears(I think) and 3 Blood rings but leaving them all in till later. plus about 3 that were hard to tell. Lots of veins in the rest. hopefully have a decent hatch this time.

took out 3 (2 of mine own 1st eggs) of my question eggs and the 1 bought one was clear (not fertile) 1 bloodring and 1 that looks like it quit early so I'm down to 45 with a few more questionable ones but was 99% sure so I left them in and will candle again on Friday (day 10) It was so amazing candle and actually see moving babies in there. (Only my 2nd hatch, the first one a big fat nothing) so I am excited to see progress. hopefully they continue and we get some babies. I do have a question though my Hovabator 1583 I haven't had to move the temp at all even after moving it to another location and now for some reason it's up at 101 and I don't want to lose this hatch does this mean I need a new wafer? This is a new to me bator and I bought it used so there is no box or instructions I decreased the temp a bit last night but it seemed like I had to turn the knob way more than a little bit but I got it down to 100.4 so I guess I'm ok right?

I hope I can get pictures up of my chickies.....I still have 2 to go BUT I currently have 5 pld english game chicks and 2 silkie crosses and 2 on the way. 2 of the oegb chicks look pure (spangled hen x bbr roo) 1 looks to be a cochin cross and 2 are black silkie crosses. All 5 are from the same hen lol. She was very busy! My 2 silkie crosses are both silver. From my blue hen miss mellie and I'm pretty sure my porcelain d'uccle roo little loon. Still to come is 1 easter egger rmix with a buff orpington and 1 mystery chick lol. Mom is unknown and dad is a buff orpinhgton.

Help me out on this air cell. I have the charts, ive read everything but im still unsure. How do they look? Im running dry and around 24-30% humidity. Sorry for the shaky jagged lines! 1st line day 7, 2nd line day 10

Oh this is gonna be a stressful 19 days. My incubator keeps madly fluctuating between 96 to 104 degrees. *tears hair out*

Is there an October Hatch A long?
I've found every month, but that one
(I did however learn that some day in October is national egg hatching day?)
Getting ready to load the bator back up later in the week for an early October hatch :)

Haven't seen one, but a very good question! My eggs aren't due to hatch until October 3rd (Muscovy duck's), they were set August 29. They could possibly make their arrival in September; if not I guess I'll hop on over to October when that thread gets started! Did you find out what day in October is egg hatching day?
