Serama Chicks, Anything special or different?

I'm no expert, but my daughter and I have hatched a few Serama in the last couple of years. They hatch earlier than larger breeds - on day 18 or 19 rather than 21. We did have to help a few chicks to hatch, but I think that was our problem rather than something about the breed in general. I ran some chick starter through the food processor to make sure that there were plenty of small bits for them to eat; some of the crumbles were much too big for the tiny little guys to eat. Other than that, they were just like chicks of any other breed (but gads, they are soooo cute!)

Good luck on your hatch!

Thank you, BunnyLady,

I figured they would need starter mash instead of crumble.
I had set them with other eggs but a day later, so they should all be hatching out around the same time. Someone told me to lock them down on day 19 and that really threw my scheduling off a lot. This is much better
