Oh well, it was worth a try He's such a looker I think we'd all keep trying to incubate his eggs even if we were 90% guaranteed they wouldn't hatch. By the way, I wanted to ask you before I forget again--how many times a day do you turn your eggs?

That is great news! I have 10 eggs developing, all set for a February 11th hatch!

I think I'm going to have to pull all Louis eggs for awhile....they show fertile when I open them but nothing happens with them. I might have to get him so new girls from my hatches.

I opened two of his eggs last night and both were fertile...again. They always are so I really have no explanation why they are not developing for people. He has babies out there.....Tiffany has/had one and there are a few other local people who adopted his babies from the first hatch. I dunno

I still have!! Little Hawk (Louis' Daughter) has laid 3 eggs now!! I'll get updated photos of her tomorrow since it's suppose to be 50s-60s here, they'll all be outside!

I have to agree with KLRA in her last post... Hawk is too great of a baby to not try for anymore even if 1 out of 10 make it! That's 1 more Louis baby and 1 more possibility of another great typed baby like Hawk!!

Lock down today! After candling, I'm now putting 9 CDS eggs, and 4 of my own silkie eggs into lock down.

I'm praying they all hatch, with out complications. I still have the little Gino egg, but at candling, the chick is sooo tiny! He was still wiggling around though? The air sac on that egg is equal in size as the chick, so I'm a bit worried..

So out of 15 CDS eggs shipped, 3 never developed, and 3 quit about halfway through. Thank you Laura, I'm pretty impressed that 9 went into lockdown! With me being a newbie, I don't think I could have asked for better quality shipped eggs. The packaging was tremendous, and all of my airsacs were A ok.

Laurie, thank you for the kind words and congrats on such a good development rate! I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of them! You might have to help the Gino egg...if you feel comfortable doing that. I know their babies are going to be very tiny so they might not be able to hatch on their own. Just thought I'd throw that out there to you.

I agree on helping out the tiny one, in my experience with the very tiny eggs and chicks, 99% I have to help them out.

UPDATE!
I now have 2 Amadeus eggs hatched and drying, day 20. They started pipping late last night. I also have 1 of my silkies hatched!! I'm ubber excited!! 7 CDS, and 3 silkies to go!
