I have good news for those of you expecting Silkied eggs from me.....

Candled the 38 eggs tonight....


all 7 of Thaddeus' eggs (some from each of his girls) are going strong!

I think he's finally getting the job done lol

Bad news is only 9 of the other eggs I set are growing

They are shipped eggs from friends. Won't be the hatch I was expecting or wanting, but I'm thrilled that I will be getting silkied babies!

The Black one just let out a sweak this morning I sure like him alot he has black legs but i dont care I think his name is going to be Olly or Chester

I just got my first black legged one too...is yours from the Amadeus pen? I'm thinking if it is then it is Marion's. She is mostly black with just a little bit of mottling and has some slight smudging on her legs. Black is going to be accepted on black birds most likely but it would be nice to try and narrow down who is throwing the black legs...

Yes from Amadeus he has black beak mostley black with white under his wings his face is just the sweetest
