Serama hen hatching quails

To update everyone. Have done it again with different bantam. They sit well and hatch them well but make sure by day 7 you remove the hen and supplement with heat. After day 7 the chicks become too active and hen gets stressed and pecks on them. My lavander girl went second time broody and hatched a lovely bantam chicks. As well

it’s week 5 for them and I still have no idea are they hens or cockerels.

Thanks so much for posting this. I have a bantam cochin sitting on quail eggs who are due to hatch tomorrow. I'm nervous about how she will react to them. Your post gave a lot of insight!
Update: My girl Pants did an amazing job with the quail Chicks. She stayed with them until day 21. I only removed them because of space, and I wanted Pants to break her brood due to molting.

Oh wow. Mine didn’t stay that long. They start pecking on chicks as soon as the grow older and start running everywhere. What’s the secret ? 😁

Honestly I think if it was any other hen they would have moved out much earlier. She is a cochin mix, very broody and submissive.
I kept expecting problems, but never had any (I lost one baby but I think it was unrelated).
I documented it, I think it's 4-5 videos all together on my YT 😂
Here's the first one...
