Okay, I've decided on some names for my chicks. The brown duckling is Anerea, the yellowish duckling is Avery, the rhode island red chick is Maroon, and the white leghorn chick is Lucky.

Yes, it is an igloo. I am chalking the bad hatch up to the power outage. All that went to lockdown at eggtopsy quit right around that time frame.
Mine seemed to have done the best from a state or 2 away. My eggs from texas and oklahoma have done good, the one's from new york, louisiana and florida didn't.
All 5 chicks are done hatching.100%
They are in the bator resting and fluffing up. They are so much darker than I expected for Easter Eggers.....Maybe they really are Ameraucanas? I'll take a picture of everyone when they dry off better. They are sort of spread out around the incubator so it's hard to get a group shot.![]()
Here is a picture of the first one out, though...........

I'm sorry, I hope you don't think I am equating your hatch with the fact that you have a homemade incubator. I was wanting to ask you for a few ideas. I need to make another hatching box and my DH found an Igloo down at Goodwill for a couple of dollars. It's tiny, but I am going to use both and then I can have less chicks in each one for the hatch and keep my colors separated.
I have a pip this morning and its peeping up a storm in that shell!!!! How long does it take to hatch?
