I agree, I think it was the LG. I (for some unknown reason) was determined to get my LG to "work". So last hatch I realized that I can't get the LG to work, no matter what I do. I tried to hatch out cochins last year but they didn't make it. I actually bought several batches of eggs online that didn't make it. It's ashame, but I learned my lesson. I'm already having much better luck with the Hovabator, since my last batch 3 hatched out, and I lost one due to my stupidity - humidity dropped when I was at work.
I too am eyeing the Brinsea!
But I want to see what I can do with my Hovabator before I go spending any more money.
I love my hovabator. The only reason Im eyeing the others is because of presets and less sress about temps. Though with my hovabator, I have very little temp changes and I can get my humidity up. My only concern on the brinsea is that it only holds 24 eggs, and the hovabator holds 42 with the turner.
Im contemplating breeding sex links next yr. And possibly silkies. This year Ive gone willy nilly hatching everything!! It started out to be a challange and a good homeschool lesson. Its by far passed that. Now, Im more excited about setting more eggs and hatchings then my kids are! LOL.
