They came from Soaring Chick. Yes, I know she wrote on them with marker. These are tester eggs. I told her I didnt mind, but there are those that would get bent out of shape. Anyway, hoping they hatch well!

What's wrong with marker? I put x's on mine with a marker, since I had her in the coop the first night & day. I didn't want to confuse them with my girls' eggs before we moved her. I read that crayon wipes off.

Thanks cloth!

Where is Sweetwater, TX? It sounds familiar...but can't remember where it is.

I'm expecting the little Sizzle roo to be the daddy to all or most of the 7 eggs I set. I sure hope they hatch! He's the only roo that I've actually seen with my little Sammie (Silkie broody). I have no idea what they'll look like until they grow up, considering they're such mutts...LOL.

Thanks to both of you for answering, and Kelly, thanks for letting me know you use sharpie & all's well! Seems it's a may or may not on using marker. Does anyone know if there's any scientific data to back up toxicity of markers? Links or books or something? I did some searching, and saw where a lot of folks said marker did ok for them, as long as it was non-toxic (which mine said on the marker).

I don't know on the marker. I was actually planning on using one myself, when it is time for me to candle I was going to put a little question mark on any that I wasn't sure about.

My youngest is now 7, but I feel like I have a newborn baby again!! I put the bator in my bedroom because with 4 kids I figured that is where the least amount of traffic would be, but I keep going in and checking it every little bit, just like I did my babies when they were sleeping
