That must be the little Cochin right in the middle. It's the only 1 I see who doesn't have a dark beakHere are my little cuties! 13 silkies and 1 lonely bantam cochin. There are two eggs still in the incubator but I don't have much hope for them. I went through and candled the remaining eggs and about 7 were dead, and 2 were still moving but they would be pretty late compared to the others and no pips yet. I wonder if I opened the incubator to much to get the other chicks out and their humidity levels got off or something since all the dead chicks in the other eggs looked like they were fully developed, and just had not pipped. Or could it be that they got knocked around by the hatching chicks and were in the wrong positions? I'd like to have a better hatch rate next time than 14/33.

FINALLY! I mean it's only day 23, right? lol. I had almost given up.
Just put a stuffed animal in the brooder with him. And he wont feel lonely.Well i am now officially on day 21 and absolutely no signs that the other 5 eggs in the bator are doing anything.... Poor eggbert is going mad in there by himself! I am going to take him out soon i think. I can't believe the others have done nothing yet since they all looked fine in on day 18! I have to say though Eggbert did hatch the WRONG end of the egg, so maybee this is why he was the first to hatch (infact the air sack at the top was still sealed)!!
