" Tuffy " a few more hours in the bator before I move it to the brooder, but I think Tuffy is going to make it!!!!!
P.S. This momma bird thing is rough on the nerves ######
YES IT IS!!
AWW Glad Tuffy made it I teased About naiming my Aussie chick FFut get it.
That is one one I helped out. It is the tiniest of my flock and has a slight mis-formation of it's left foot. It has fallen over on it's back in the brooder several times and needed help getting back up.
My 14 yo son slept next tot he brooder last night. We are all Chicken FREAKS lol
Daughter said it fell today and made it up all on it's own YAY!
I keep trying to get pictures but my brooder make them all yellow. So here is my tuff Aussie chick and it's not that yellow LOL
First chick is out, and boy are just hatched silkies ever funny looking with that black skin! She zipped all the way around in about 5 minutes while I watched, must have really wanted out after having a tiny pip since this morning. Now she is bonking into all the other eggs around her though. Am I supposed to take her out? Usually I only have a few eggs in the incubator but now it is loaded with 24 and every time she moves a little she knocks into somebody. Should I take her out - I have a Hovabator Genesis that seems to regain temp and humidity pretty quickly - or just let her "wake" everyone else up?
I have 5 out of 8 hatched. 3 were DIS. Think they shrink wrapped. I have 2 Ameraucunas (1 still in bator waiting on cord to dry & drop off) & 3 Silkies (1 with PINK skin). 6 Lemon Cockoo Orps on lockdown & all wiggly & rocking.
