If you listen to me you will be totally wrong!!! You are 2 days after me!!! Sunday,..DO I HAVE IT RIGHT YET? Geez talk about senior moment.

This is all very close to birthing actual children, isn't it? Worrying over every little thing, planning, watching, having break downs over worst case scenarios. Ha. Ha. Ha.

May our temperatures not fluctuate, and our hatches be bountiful! Good luck everyone.

I hope some of you are on Friday night EST, I'm literally going to be climbing the walls waiting for the hatch!
Yes! Close to birthing children, but without the physical pain!!! ;)

Tomorrow is day 18 for me, I set my eggs on the morning of the 24th. I have 5 gold laced and 1 silver laced Brahmas looking pretty good, no peeps yet. Its hard to hear them in the Genesis, I wish there was a way to turn off the fan. I think that is what is drying my eggs out after they pip. I kept this batch at 40-45 humidity from day 1 and I hope it improves the moisture of the membranes so I don't have to assist with hatching like I did with my last 2 hatches. I tried the dry hatch on those. Good luck everyone, can't wait to see all your babies!

Oh and all my air cells look good too. Will be hatching them in an egg carton, keeps the chicks from bumping around the eggs and the hatchees use the carton as a nest/roost so cute.

I'm hatching in the Genesis also. I have a Golden Polish that is trying to hatch right now (along with some others). She is so loud that you can hear her over the motor running. lol. I think once they get ready to hatch, if they are going to be loud you will hear them. lol.

I have my humidity up to 70% right now.

OMgosh! Such good luck with the first 3 early hatchers... went out that morning and there are 3 lil chicks... then yesterday finding a lil guy half hatched and dead. Now... This morning we noticed one of the 2 eggs left had piped. Just a little bit ago we go out and momma is off the next w/ the 3 chicks and the egg is zipping. Momma get back on the nest and steps on the egg, it cracked all over, lots of peeking. I thought it was a fluke and not 5 minutes later she did it again!!!
I don't think it looks good for that lil guy. I am heating up my brooder box and going to try to put the other two in there with some sponges. Momma just keeps getting up all the time now that the other ones hatched and I'm afraid she's going to trample these two.

Humidity is back up to 67%. I hope that's enough because I've got both bowls and all the water rings filled :/ not sure how else I can possibly make it go any higher at this point.
