No more action...I'm really kind of sad...I put 5 of my own eggs (RSL) in there with some JG and SLW that I bought. The JG and SLW are having no action. Today is day 21. But hey, my eggs are pipping

Maybe tonight when I go to bed, and I'll wake up to a bator full

Is anyone else setting their eggs in paper egg cartons on lockdown?

This is my very first hatch so I'm open to try anything and have heard great success stories from people using the egg cartons instead of laying the eggs on their side on the floor of the 'bator...

Anyone?

That's what a friend of mine suggested. Some people put down papertoweling but my friend said that you don't get enough air flow with it. I just happened to see the cheesecloth at my local grocery store and picked it up.

Those foamy shelf liners work great. I used them on my last hatch, but I left about an inch on all sides open for humidity and ventilation. And I cut a hole in the center (under the vent plug) so I could add water without opening the bator.
